Privacy Policy

The extension keeps your prompts and folders in your browser's extension storage. Signed out, it makes no network requests of its own.

It reads a web page only to do what you ask: the text you select when you choose Save to My Prompts, a chat message you save with its ☆, and the chat box when you click Insert. On ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini it adds a ☆ to each message. It doesn't record your conversations or your browsing.

The answers you type into a prompt's blanks are remembered on your computer only, to suggest them next time. They never sync, and nothing typed in an incognito window is remembered.

When you create an account, we store:

• your email address and display name;
• your password, as a one-way hash that can't be turned back into the password;
• your prompt library: prompts, folders, favorites and tags, with the history of each prompt's edits, so you can restore an earlier version;
• your sign-in sessions on the dashboard and in each signed-in extension, so you stay signed in and can sign out everywhere.

Signed in, the extension talks only to the Softifacts API, and only about your library and your session.

softifacts.com uses cookies only to keep you signed in and to remember your language. It has no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party trackers.

Only to run Softifacts: to sync your library, show it on the dashboard, keep you signed in, and keep the service secure and working. We don't sell your data, use it for advertising, use it to decide creditworthiness or lending, or use it to train AI models.

We don't share your data, except with the services that help us run Softifacts:

• the provider whose servers host Softifacts and its database;
• Sentry, which receives error reports from our servers when something goes wrong, so we can fix it. A report can include details of the request that failed.

We'd also disclose data if the law required it.

Connections to Softifacts are encrypted with HTTPS, and passwords are stored only as hashes. Sign-in sessions expire, and Sign out everywhere on the dashboard ends all of them at once.

We keep your account and library for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and everything stored with it, email us from the address you signed up with, and we'll delete it within 30 days.

Prompts in the extension stay in your browser until you remove them: sign out and choose Remove them, or uninstall the extension.

Softifacts isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top.
